The Return
Back from a Hiatus + Life Update
Posted December 04, 2025
Well I'm back from my forced hiatus. I still do not have good internet on my main pc but have found
a way to upload content so we're back in business. As much as I miss filezilla, this will do for now.
Now that I think about it maybe a forced hiatus was a good for me. I think I was in a state of
burnout(kinda still am), so it was good for me to catch up on hobbies.
To give some general updates, I've almost completely stopped using youtube. which is huge for me. I
found I was spending a lot of time on there, maybe slightly more than partaking in my hobbies. The
only time I'm on there is to watch other hobbyist and collectors, usually they're smaller channels.
Not much has really happened to me. I got a girlfriend somehow so I guess I'm a fakecel now. I've
also decided to get active in my fighting game local. The guys there are chill and it's much funner
playing irl than online. It's still difficult to interact with people face to face for me, so it's awkward.
I ended up dropping like most of the anime airing this season as well, seems to be a catch-up season for me
Actually speaking of that, I've decided to change the format of my weekly thoughts on currently
airing anime. I believe if I continue week to week, I'll 1. Run out of things to say and 2. get
burned out quickly. So from now on when I do my seasonals, I give my thoughts at the start, mid,
then end of the season.
Since it really is a catchup season for me I've had a lot more time to finish my backlog and still
have time to do whatever. Some things I've been watching are Nadia, Beck, and Soul Taker. I want
to buy the Nadia bluray soon so I can watch it on my TV. Book wise I've been reading Megami Tensei
and Battle Angel Alita. Reading Megami Tensei for the first time with the SMT IV soundtrack in the
back is a good experience, I highly recommend. I haven't been reading anything new Vn wise,
just rereading Tsukihime. I'm excited to read H9 though, hopefully that releases on GOG soon...
It's official, Touhou 20 is one of my favorite touhous ever. Recently I've been training to 1cc
it, I'm not even close but I 3cc the other night. Other than that, I've been playing Super Metroid,
SMT III, and Rift of the Necrodancer. The first two I'm replaying but I'm playing Rift for the first
time. I really dislike the unfunny millennial writing but the actual game play is really fun. I haven't really
been challenged in a rhythm game for a while so it's refreshing.
On the purchase side of things I've pulled back a bit on buying. Mostly because there's a lot of
Discotek releases coming out and I want to save to splurge on a huge haul from Robert's Corner Store.
I bought the complete box sets for Here and There, Then and Now and Robotech. I found good deals for
them on Ebay and couldn't resist. The ADV Robotech set hasn't arrived yet but I'll edit this
in post to include a photo.
I've also bought the HG for the RX-78 G from Requiem. I wasn't a big fan of the actual ONA but the
kit is sick. I'll be posting a small review on the kit later. That's it on the purchase side.
I'll have more to show next time, so around post Christmas.
Site wise I'm still working on the Tezuka shrine. I've finished the biography section and am now
working on the section for his works. That's part is the longest as I have to read/watch a whole
bunch of crap, then write a cohesive time line esque thing. It's fun though, I've been having a
good time researching.
Other than that, I might do some reviews for the Tezuka related things I've been going through.
Hopefully I'll finish Nadia soon so I can post that along with the Otaku no Video rewrite soon.
I don't have much else to say, have a nice day and thank you for reading my recluse jobless endeavors (-_-)b.
