+ + This Monster Wants to Eat Me + +

A girl named Hinako lives in a dissociative state after her family dies in a car accident years ago. She goes on in life without a reason to live until an encounter with Shiori, a mermaid. Shiori wants to eat her, but with a condition. That Hinako dies happy. Amazing start to the season! I'm familiar with the manga and it seems like this will be a pretty close adaptation. I can't say I'm shocked about most things because of that. I do enjoy the va's they chose and think the animation look pretty good.

There seems to be a lot still frames but I didn't mind it as much honestly. My favorite scene was the one where Shiori is first telling Hanako that she's going to eat her and there dialouge shifts line by line. Such a cool effect!!

+ + Yano-kun's Ordinary Days + +

Yoshida is named class president due to her reliability and overall kindness. Because of that kindness, when seeing her classmate Yano constantly coming to school with injury's she wants to help him. At first glance it appears he's being bullied but he's just clumsy. Yoshida become determined to help him with his injuries no matter what.

I wasn't going to watched this when going through all of the PVs for this season. But then I saw a post with the many faces that the Yoshida makes throughout the first ep. I'm a sucker for cute faces so I gave in and added this to my seasonals. I think this has the potential to being one of my favorites anime this season, and I'm not much of a romance guy.

Yoshida is so cute, absolutely best girl without a shadow of a doubt. I will trooper through the show no matter how shit just for her! I will move mountains. She will get me through the fall, even irl. She is my life force.

The other characters are cute too I guess.

+ + Shabake + +

A guy named Ichitarou is a sickly and bedridden young master in edo japan. He stumbles upon a scene of a murder and is chased around by the assumed killer.

The first ep seems to be more about set-up and nothing else. We're introduced to the idea of spirits and supernatural being a part of everyday life which I think will make this interesting. I assuming this will tie into the murder mystery that seems to be the meat of the show.

The characters is alright to me so far, I'm not sure if I like the main character much but we'll see. It's only the first ep. I believe I will continue watching it.

+ + Nohara Hiroshi: Hiru Meshi no Ryuugi + +

A Crayon Shin-chan spin off where his father eats lunch. This shouldn't have lasted 23 minutes. I was painfully bored the entire time. If the show was a 6 minute short I don't think I would mind it. I giggled at some things but besides that it was pretty unfunny. The same gags where used with no variation. I don't have much investment in Shin-chan either. The show looks so cheap. I don't think I'll continue watching honestly.

+ + Shuumatsu Touring + +

Traveling through japan after the apocalypse to follow her sister footsteps with a cute loli robot. There's a trend of apocalyptic animanga in the past couple of years that I've been enjoying. Shuumatsu train, Apocalypse Hotel, and Usuzumi no Hate come to mind. I've read only the first 2 chapters of the manga to gage if I would be interested.

I think I'll like this anime, maybe not as much as the previously mentioned ones. I think this is worth a watch just for the characters, I like carefree energetic girls and kuundere lolis. I think the scenery was beautiful in this show, I also like the dark undertones. There seems to be a bit more content that wasn't in the first couple of chapters in the manga, it added a bit more information about the world. Overall I think I'm going to continue watching it!

I think week 1 was pretty solid, there weren't that many shows since everything started airing in the middle of the week. Strong start to the Fall. Lets see if I can stay consistent with the recaps!!
